About Timothy
Timothy Schmalz has been professionally sculpting for twenty years and calls Waterloo Region his home. In 2006, Schmalz began dedicating his time to the subject of Germanic/Celtic images. The stories and beliefs of northern Europeans have inspired Schmalz to give new forms and representations to this ancient culture.
His works are created in traditional figurative style and timeless materials: wood, stone and clay. His pieces not only express the richness of European heritage, but also portray the beauty of the human form and nature.

The Baden Storytelling Guild
Since 1989, the Guild has been the forum for those who wish to work together to learn more about the art of storytelling. Members network, coach each other, and make use of the large resource library which is housed in The Story Barn. This year’s members come from Cambridge, New Hamburg, Guelph, London, Burlington, Brampton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Elmira, and Baden.
