Theodora Roman
Theodora Roman is a 2010 graduate from McMaster University finishing a combined Honors Bachelors of Arts in Fine Arts and Multimedia. Theodora has been passionate about art since the day she can remember and has since traveled to some of the greatest art museums in the world to better expand her understanding of art. With a deep appreciation for the great masters of the renaissance, Theodora was drawn to portraiture and figurative art, finding it as the most interesting, challenging and complex subjects to study. She is interested in capturing human emotions and thoughts, often her art can be described as investigations of the human conditions. She executes her paintings using a combination of mixed media and traditional painting techniques on canvas or wood. Through the many layers, colours and glazes she is constantly exploring, researching and discovering new thoughts and techniques.
