Beads on Broadway
Beth Grant discovered a passion for lampwork several years ago and thanks to Mark Lewis and Tanya Zaryski of Beaver Valley Glassworks she was able to begin her amazing journey. Lampwork was a natural progression following twenty years of stained glass, first as a hobby and then, after ‘retiring’ from a career as a biologist as a second career. Now that she has opened Beads on Broadway, the studio she shares with Joan Hope at Dragonfly Arts on Broadway in Orangeville, stained glass has taken a back seat to her new creative outlet. With her biology background and many years of camping in northern Ontario and working in the eastern Canadian Arctic, much of her inspiration and colour choices are influenced by the natural environment.
Beth uses her beads to produce fabulous sterling silver jewellery for everyday wear as well as for unique gift items such as wine stoppers, serving spoons, pens, letter openers and pate knives.
